There are good reasons to support Joe Biden. It’s understandable that someone might vote for Joe based on specific issues. However, there is no good reason to not try to learn about Joe’s history with regard to issues of war & peace, since it is a top responsibility of the Commander-in-Chief. Joe's record regarding war & peace has generally not been discussed in the main stream media and the debates. Joe Biden held key positions of responsibility in the US government during numerous US military actions, including Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen. These military actions could reasonably be considered wars of aggression and a neutral observer might fairly wonder why Joe is being considered for US president rather than being tried for war crimes. Regardless of the outcome of the elections, U.S. citizens should call for much more accountability from their leaders regarding war & peace issues, better information from the media, and an end to wars of aggression.

Issues of war & peace are the most important responsibility of the U.S. President, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The lives of millions, and potentially the future of our civilization depend on the President's sound judgement.

Being against wars of choice, and regime change wars, and wars of aggression is a real conservative, libertarian, and progressive position. Shouldn't it be a Democratic one as well? |
