6. If you...
  • If you want to help bring an end to the wars of aggression, the wars of choice, that the U.S. has been engaged in for 16+ years: Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Iran . . .
  • If you would like to reduce the chance life is ended by nuclear war
  • If you approve of redirecting world wealth from military to more productive uses such as education, health, infrastucture, your pocket, clean water, housing, climate issues . . .
Then (from 2020)
  • Support politicians and media that support those goals. And don't support politicians that have a record of supporting wars of aggression and serving at high levels in administrations engaged in these wars, e.g. Joe Biden.

Granted, from an anti-war perspective the Trump administration is terrible on Iran, Syria, Israel, Venezuela ... , and could easily be seen to initiate additional aggression or stumble into a major war. But Biden's body count, his responsibility for humans killed and lives destroyed by war, is far higher than Trump's (so far). If we are to bring an end to the horrendous crimes being commited in our name and with our treasure, we should not reward those reponsible for the crimes with the highest political office in the land. At the very least, citizens / voters should demand clear detailed policy positions and commitments from the candidates on all critical war and peace issues.

Issues of war & peace are the most important responsibility of the U.S. President, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The lives of millions, and potentially the future of our civilization depend on the President's sound judgement.

Being against wars of choice, and regime change wars, and wars of aggression is a real conservative, libertarian, and progressive position. Shouldn't it be a Democratic one as well?
